Did you know...

Our quarterly newsletter goes out to all our supporters, not only in the UK, but also to France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan and the USA. We receive enquiries from all over the world.

Cephalopods have camera-type eyes.  The Nautilus (one of the few which still has a shell) has a camera eye, but it is a pinhole camera.  The eyes of most cephalopods have adapted to life in deep water, but the Nautilus lives at relatively shallow depths in clear ocean water so they have evolved slightly differently.
